I spotted this post on Entertainment Weekly's PopWatch blog and thought I'd throw it out there for discussion.

Well.. it's better than some of the, "24 is just right-wing propaganda trash" kind of articles I've read. An interesting character analysis. Thanks for sharing the link.

I agree, the article was interesting. However, I think that 24 has portrayed some very strong female leads: Audrey, Chloe, and Michelle. Also, let's not forget Nina. Although she was a mole was a powerful character. The article pinpointed the few women on the show who were either 'hysterical' or 'ball busters' while failing to mention the strong female leads. This is interesting, because in our society it seems that women have to be "ball busters" in order to get to the top and be on a level playing field with men. (I'm not trying to be a feminist, it is just an observation) I think the show accurately represents this situation, or our perception of it.
